Home Theatre in a BoxHome Theater in a Box is a slightly misleading term, because really Home Theatre in a Box includes only the speakers, Audio/Video Amplifier and a some packages include a DVD player. So it's almost everything you need except the TV or Big Screen unit. In essence, Home Theatre in a Box allows you to experience surround sound with a package of products bundled together to help save you money. There are tons of different packages, quality of equipment and options, such as a 1 or 5 disc DVD player, quality and size of speakers and most importantly the amplifier. Many amp wattages are available.
Here's a tip..if you spend about $200.00 you can get a very basic home theater in a box system..with a 25 watt amp, But if you spend $400.00 you will get a much higher wattage amplifier, better speakers and a DVD player. Another thing to keep in mind (especially if you're buying online) is to know what exactly is included in the home theatre in a box package.
